THE CONSULTATION

The initial appointment is a consultation. This can be done as part of your initial treatment, but can be done separately if you prefer a patch test (recommend). I will talk with you in great detail about the look you are trying to achieve and what i can recommend for you. This is a two-way conversation. I listen, respond, then advise. Once i have an idea of the look you are aiming for, i will draw the eyeliner on with a makeup pencil. The application only starts once you are happy.

THE TREATMENT

A specialist facial tattooing machine is used. The eyeliner tattoo machine works at a lower frequency than a standard tattoo machine. I gently apply pigment to the eye area using very fine needles. The sensation will feel close to an electric toothbrush being held against your skin, you should not feel any discomfort. i will work with you at this stage, offering breaks if you need them. The treatment time varies from person to person depending on your individual requirements. Expect after the treatment for your eyes might be a bit puffy and sensitive however, I advise you do not drive immediately after an permanent eyeliner treatment.

THE RETOUCH

The second appointment is needed 4-6 weeks after your first treatment. This is usually shorter than your first appointment. The retouch appointment is to add more pigment to the eye area. This is because as the area is healing, some parts may not ‘hold’ as well as others and you may have a few patches that need more colour. It is completely normal and everyone heals differently. Expect unto a 60% colour loss after the first treatment. Whatever the case, always come back to clinic for your retouch.
